ANNUAL SERVICING ON YOUR OIL BOILER

OFTEC Registered technicians are oil specialists who have been trained on modern, high-performance appliances. They are recognised by Government as 'Competent' in the same way that Gas Safe installers are competent to work with gas. Under the Building Regulations, before an oil-fired appliance or an oil storage tank is installed or replaced, a Building Notice must be obtained from the local authority. A fee is payable, and the work should be inspected by the Building Control Officer. OFTEC Registered technicians are exempt from this requirement, and can self-certify work for which they are Registered. This saves you time and money. I can also give advice on how to improve the efficiency of your heating system, and on energy saving measures suitable for your home

Because regular servicing helps keep your boiler running more efficiently, which in turn means that you use less fuel which saves you money. With most boiler manufacturers recommending that a service is carried out once a year, this also assists in preventing potential breakdowns which may leave you without heating.

PROCEDURE FOR YOUR ANNUAL SERVICE

The service of any fossil fuel appliance is critical to ensure firstly that it is operating safely, followed by ensuring efficiency is maintained at it's highest, but also a maintained appliance is less likely to breakdown causing inconvenience when you least expect.

A twelve monthly service, which is the recommended period between visits, starts from £75.00 plus parts for a standard oil fired boiler, and will take about 1 hour 30 minutes to complete on a regular serviced oil boiler.
